Resources in North Carolina

I have a friend who just moved to the Hickory/Newton, NC area and is

needing to find some resources for her 2.5 year old son who may have

Aspergers. It has been suggested she get him tested/evaluated but

the waiting list for TEACH is a year. Anybody have any resources

they can recommend for her? I would appreciate it.

My understanding is that N.C. is divided

into districts where they do early screening. Look up the states Autism society

site I think that’s where I saw a map/information. I will look through my

e-mail and see if I find the site, as someone I know was asking awhile back….Gail
