Guest guest
Myser is absolutely correct! Every state that has risen above repressive and regressive laws has done so via a small group of very active, very informed and very clear citizens. I've been waiting for this moment for years. Seriously, folks, that's all it takes! Lack of consumer mandate is the ONLY reason we don't have full access to raw milk in this state. Think about it. This can help exonerate Rae Lynn and her family, it can open the doors for a score of wholesome raw dairies to supply the cities, then the state! WE CAN CHANGE THE LAWS IN MINNESOTA!!! Life is short, this needs to be done, let's do it now! , lead the way! Will Winter

Guest guest
ditto. It's on my to-do this week. I've already sent emails to all of mine, but a more in your face approach seems to be necessary... calling, setting up meetings, etc. etc. I'm willing to do it... but for real... just being honest. If I did this for all the things I held dear to me, I would be meeting with government officials and on the phone all day about all the issues I have, not just raw milk. I thought that a simple letter explaining where I stand would be enough. It seems that our government just isn't willing to listen to us any more... now I have to show up at their door and make sure they know who I am. I know I sound as if I'm whining... I am, btw. But add this to the 50 other things that I could scream about all day, (i.e. orphans in distress, immigration reform, sex trafficking, other food/environmental issues, slavery, religious freedom, etc, etc) it just gets EXHAUSTING. But seriously. Don't mess with my milk. I hear everyone about civilized, well-spoken, thoughtful... and I usually am. But if someone messes with my milk and how I eat, I will SCREAM in their face. It's the ENFP in me. I emote. > > > Myser is absolutely correct! Guest guest
Thanks for the reminder about the impact we can make. I have calls in to both of my reps--Senator Ray (district 62) and Representative Jim Davnie (district 62A). Greg Schmidt suggested that I find other 'raw milkers' in my area to attend a meeting with me. If I can get several people together I'm planning on hosting a meeting at my home in the evening with my reps. Anyone on this list living in SD62 or 62A? If so, and you want to be part of the meeting please email me off list so I can start organizing. If you aren't part of my area, but just want to come to support and learn, then please come! Guest guest
I agree -- and I'll do it, too! But . . . I'm going to need some talking points. I'm due with our third baby any day now and I don't have the ability, time, or mental energy to work through it myself at this point. 'Tis the season of life. Thanks, a > > We need action now, please commit to connecting your reps this week and if you need help, email me. Lets expand our right to drink raw milk, call now. Guest guest
, How often should we contact them and what is it you are specifically looking for? The reps in my district have been contacted. Other than complaining about what is happening, which is probably not effective, what exactly should we be asking them for? I guess I am used to there being a bill pending to ask reps to vote either yes or no for. Since there is not a bill, what exactly are we supposed to be asking them to do? As long as this topic is being discussed, has anyone any further information on new dep of ag head? Carol
Guest guest
Okay I have heard some requests for what to say and how often to contact rep and what to say each time, great!! I will put together a talking points sheet and I will organized a conference call to answer questions for all who are interested in helping get our rights back. I would like some help in managing this effort. I would like someone who is organized and likes to organize information to help me create a list of all raw milk drinkers, where they live, reps in their district, list of reps, who has been contacted and by whom and is willing to put this information in a place that we can easily access and update as we progress in our group effort to influence a new law in our favor. Please email me off list with your phone number.
