Traditional foods primer?

Will, have you ever thought about doing a traditional foods primer for new

members?

I know you recommend reading nourishing traditions and perhaps other books I'm

forgetting at the moment but unless you force people to read them before they

join (not really feasible and would probably sour otherwise interested parties),

then a lot of people won't probably catch on as soon as they otherwise would

have.

When I applied for admission to this group it was because I was directed to you

by the WAPF and my mission was to get raw milk. Blessedly I was led to this

forum which took me light years beyond anything I could have imagined food and

nutrition-wise. But it was a while before I realized that the 'grass-fed' I

kept reading about on here was important. I'm not sure exactly at what point it

was that it clicked. I do know that I often forget what it was like to not even

have a concept of grass fed or that the food that livestock consume is vitally

important to the nutrient content and density of that food.

It would be helpful to have a very clean, cut and dry (not dry as in boring

though!) primer saying, cows should be eating various types of pasture and

browse only, not grains or anything else. Chickens should consume a wide variety

of foods including bugs, vegetables, grains, grass, no soybean.....and so on.

And it should concisely explain why these are important and how they vary from

their industrial counterparts.

Maybe you already have something like this or maybe you prefer to rely on

pointing new members to nourishing traditions but I know I would have

appreciated it when I started here.

I do want to say thanks again for all I've learned as a result of this group, I

came looking for raw milk and found soooo much more.
