Guest guest
Hey. the Wedge has good organic Brazil nuts! Seriously, though, it sounds like opportunity to me: Bringing Brazilian food to the Midwest. I'm curious though, what exactly are they looking for? I know I've been to a Brazilian restaurant, it was in the Castro area of SF, but I can't remember anything specific. Lots of beef probably, which, by the way, the majority of the grass-fed beef coming to huge chain grocery stores comes all the way from Brazil and Argentina. This heavily-subsidized and diesel-consuming meat makes it even harder for local ranchers to survive. I'm sure the way things are spiced matters, also I'd imagine that South American food has a lot more fruits, vegetables and greens than what are normally grown here. She may have to bite the bullet and adapt to traditional locavore food OR, by being creative in the kitchen, bring local food up to Brazilian standards! Tell us more! Guest guest
Well, there's Samba Taste of Brazil in Hopkins--it's a restaurant, but also has groceries. Then there's also Fogo do Chao Brazilian Steakhouse downtown. Also Brazilian Connection in Minnetonka sells some grocery items. > > Hey. the Wedge has good organic Brazil nuts! Guest guest
Here's a restaurant! Samba at 922 Main Street in Hopkins. www.sambatasteofbrazil.com Might be a good place to visit and maybe get some ideas as to where to find a food or other Brazilian store. Sandy Goral > > My father in law just brought his new Brazilian wife here. She was asking me if there are any places to buy authentic Brazilian foods? Told her I didn't know but had a good place to ask! They live in Northeast Minneapolis but wondering if anyone knows of a Brazilian grocery or store that has a good selection of authentic items? > > TIA, > > >
