Guest guest
Freedom became famous in 2002 when she climbed over a 6 foot slaughter house fence and then evaded capture for 11 days before being taken to Farm Sanctuary.Freedom unsurprisingly never took to people, but quickly became the matriarch of the herd. She powerfully defines the importance of our mission, and the cruelty of the dairy industry. She died yesterday after her back legs collapsed under the weight of spine cancer, an ailment no doubt caused by her time in a dairy farm herd.I strongly recommend that you read her short eulogy from Farm Sanctuary. It will remind you of the importance of our cause, and of the true nature of the creatures that we strive to protect.http://www.farmsanctuary.org/rescue/memory/cincinnati.htmlFreedom, Rest in Peace .. -- This message was sent by Brad (bradking@...) from South Florida Animal Rights Meetup Group.
