My DS is almost 4 and has speech delay, very immature, quirky things like will only eat certain foods, wont let us cut his hair, nails, etc, doesnt share and on & on, but is pretty affectionate and seems to have some fleeting ability to feel empathy. I am somewhat familiar with autism, as my DD worked with the special needs room for a couple years (with kids in school who were unable to mainstream) but DS is a bit higher functioning. I dont know what is the ASD and what is misbehavior, or stubbornness, or does it all just get mixed up together? I would like to read up more on all this than I have found on the internet.
