Guest guest
Hi Ursula, I asked Mark's immunologist to answer this question. His reply was " various terms have been used to describe such a situation. The term " antibody deficiency syndrome " has been used-but it also may apply to individuals who have very low IgG. The antibody deficiency syndrome implies an absence or decrease in response to neoantigens (as is the case with Mark. " Mark's PID, is a two-part PID, in that his IgG (while present, on the low end) has the Cd5+ marker on it. What they are measuring in Mark's case are all fetal/naive b-cells. They are not mature, nor will they ever be mature so that is what might make Mark's case different then someone else with a similiar response. Thank you for asking about , he is infected again (or shall I say STILL)!!!!!!!! My husband and I are terribly frustrated. We will be calling the ENT on Monday. I just do not know what to do about this and I really do not want another FESS. Autumn (Mom to Mark Cd5-Cd19 PID and )
