Guest guest
Hi All, Am working today and tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I will be down to the Cities on Saturday. I haven't actually gotten a look at the lamb meat yet - was going to pick it up Monday but snow canceled that trip (we got around 8 inches) so picked it up yesterday while I was at work. He says it looks really nice. I am hoping that those of you who can, will stop by the Warehouse on Saturday and buy from me. I haven't been writing cheery farm updates because things are extremely grim on the farm. Although I have seen others on this list asking for hand-outs, this is not my way. I want your business. When I say that the closing of the Warehouse has hit me hard, this is what I mean: I am about 4 months behind on my mortgage. I have 2 big bales of hay left so have to buy more of that in the very near future. My fuel oil barrel is empty. I have been buying off-road diesel, 10 gallons at a time because no one delivers fuel oil on credit and I can't afford to pay for 100 gallons ($300.) up front. I could add a lot more but you get the idea. I don't drink, eat at restaurants, or party. I go to work and work and I come home and work. I have plenty of food products stored at the Warehouse and all of it is available for sale. I will be bringing down the lamb and Green Peppercorn Mustard. I have handspun yarn and woven, knitted and crocheted items at the Warehouse. If anyone wants me to bring fiber down for felting or spinning, contact me privately. Jewelry, bookmarkers and other handcrafted items aren't food but the income from these help pay the bills, including the $50 per week in bird food. Prices range from $2 to $200 so there is something for everyone. If you need stocking stuffers for co-workers or teachers, I've got some great stuff. I could add more but have to go to work. Please come on Saturday. Your support is needed and appreciated. Thank you, Pat Z.
Guest guest
OK, everyone who cares..... Here's your opportunity to help a farmer who really needs your help, and get something great in return! Win Win! . Let's join forces to buy everything Pat Z. has, if your freezer is full, buy some for friends and surprise them. Personally, I love all her stuff and I'd like to place my order right now for 40# of grass-fed ground beef. Additionally, her poultry and eggs truly stand out as exceptional quality and unique. I'll probably sign up for more Saturday. I've never cooked one of her beautiful geese and I want to get one if there's any left. Again, find out what she has that you need (hey, we all eat!) then shop away. Perfect timing! Will
Guest guest
Hi Will, Thank you for your kind words and support. I will be taking some chickens, quail and one goose down to be processed on Dec. 7. In addition to the State screwing things up for everyone this summer, the weather in northern MN was also uncooperative. There was so much lightning and bad weather that I had abysmally poor hatches, translating into not many birds to sell. On the plus side, since I am into variety, not quantity, there will be plenty of other things that I make/raise available on Saturday. See you then, Pat Z.
