Guest guest
Hi, I sell at farmers markets. Currently I have only leafy green veggies and radishes. I am organic but not certified so I can't use the organic label (thanks USDA). No chemical crap either. I use companion planting, rotational gardening, and lots of mulch! Fertilizer comes from the animals. Anyway, EVERYTHING I am bringing to the farmers market is all HEIRLOOM. I do have 6 non-heirloom types of toms in the garden but they will not go to market and have thier own customer base anyway. I have 97 different heirloom types of tomato growing, over 1200 plants and just found another flat on the porch. I also have peppers, tons of herbs, lettuce, peas, beans, radish, kale, broccoli, broccoli raab, cauliflower, b. sprouts, onions, etc. I have the list of veggie types on my website: http://paradiseproduce.weebly.com/veggies.html More will be ready in a couple of weeks. My CSA's get first veggies in their baskets of course. Jams, jellies, preserves, different pickled products, eggs (quail, chicken, duck, and goose and emu for crafting) are also available. I found a really neat book of old timey goodies in there that I will be making as time allows and bringing along too--many different pickled things. Locations: Sunday: MN from noon to 4 PM. This market needs vendors, no charge for this season. Monday: St. from 3 PM to 7 PM. Sat: When I have my toms ready NE Mpls Wed: Pine City Flea Market not always at this one but fun to go to--junk, good food, you name it and you can find it! 7 AM to noon I think are the hours, we are ususally there at 6 AM. Also! I just put 4 piggies in the freezer and have halves available. I have 1/2 lamb available too. Lambs were grass fed and butchered at about 100#. Pigs were pastured, fed non-GMO grain, hay, produce, kitchen waste, and TONS of goat milk! Both are very tasty! 763-219-5885
Guest guest
Though I read the rules to say that if you do not sell over $5K annually you do not come under their purview, thus you can claim it is USDA certified organic. Read the rules and see what you think. On Jul 9, 2010, at 8:00 PM, Paradise Goats wrote: > Hi, > > I sell at farmers markets. Currently I have only leafy green veggies > and radishes.
