Thank you to all for the wonderful responses regarding my post about

allergies and protein. Your condolences were greatly appreciated, as

was your advice. I am so scattered right now -- I keep forgetting that

while there are a number of beans/legumes I can't eat (such as

garbanzo, which makes my lips swell up like collagen implants gone

wrong), there are still options beyond black and pinto beans. I think

I'll try some azuki or lima beans. And I had totally forgotten about

the quinoa.

As for seeing an MB counselor, that's a wonderful idea. I'll call the

lady my mother-in-law knew. She sounded fabulous.

Regarding chemicals in the house: we overhauled our products several

years ago and that made a HUGE difference. :) However, I have noticed

that I'm very sensitive to chemical smells just now -- I walked into a

store the other day and the smell of cleaning fluid was awful. I think

that the stress of losing a loved one has made my system go haywire.
