Guest guest
I've mentioned before to some about this blog which I find so enriching - she advocates a non-consumer attitude towards life and in the process finds a much richer life. We speak often about abundance, but does it mean material abundance or something else? Or can they both co-exist, one not impacting upon the other? This blogger does not encourage a spartan life - but one full of joys, but not necessarily those that have been proclaimed to be such by the "consumer gods." In the link below she's shared some powerful quotes from a book she has included in a "book club" that she's begun - I was especially moved by the person who wanted a meaningful death, but his family couldn't see it. Hopefully, we all can - it is a struggle to go against the tide - maybe there was some kind of a gift in the recession, where people can rethink where their priorities lie - not easy.
