Guest guest
Dear Friends and Family, Well, Christmas is over and we are still recovering from the all night wrapping marathon. The good news is is that gave us a present this year...she is sleeping 8 hours straight...whoohoo!! The kids were very happy with what they got as well as us big kids. But we made sure to let them know that the gifts were just the icing on the cake, that the meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with getting stuff, its about Jesus. Anyhoo...now that it is over we are all back to the grind. I continue to send the kids off the play so I can get organized...that is my new years resolution (to start the year off organized!). In doing so, I finally got 's application off to Shriners Hospital today. So hopefully in about 2-3 weeks we will have an appointment to get his legs " fixed " . They were quite upset to hear that the doctors at Tripler wouldn't do anything for him, especially since doing nothing will lead to him needing hip surgery. But they are excited to get to work with him, its just a matter of the formal application. The girls are excited to be out of school until the 11th...poor me!! But they have been good and are making good on the time they have been given. I haven't heard, " I'm bored " once yet. Preston is enjoying his two 4 day weekends. One of his guys was deployed Wednesday at 7PM. His name is Mike. Please keep him and his pregnant (ready to drop) wife Bonnie in your prayers. She called me yesterday and needed a ride to the hospital to be admitted (less than 24 hours after her husband left...'s law). She is doing ok, but is fighting off the blues since this is there first child and she is worried about so much. I will be getting the pleasure of being there for the delivery camera's and all so that we can capture the event for her husband who won't be able to be there. Another friend of ours from Georgia who left soon after us has also deployed. His name is Ken. Please keep him and his wife Tanja and 3 boys in your prayers. They are a wonderful family and they have been great friends to us. We met Ken when was going through the Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments in 1999-2000, and they have blessed us with friendship since. Anyhow, everyone is fine and awaiting the new year and all it will bring. We hope that your holidays have been full of love and excitement.
