I think the school officials need to be charged as well for endangering the

lives of children: reckless endangerment, child abuse, failure to report as

mandatory reporters (as is mandatory in all states), leading to the

corruption of children (how many of the kids will act out on what was done

to them), neglect, battery, etc. They can be charged with accessory to all

of these, even if they didn't know at the time if they suspected it and did

nothing about it, or knew after the fact and did nothing. This lady (if you

can call her that) needs to be hung. I am not much into the death penalty,

but for cases dealing with the abuse of children, I really think it needs to

be expanded! I have a no tolerance policy for abuse, and believe that the

sooner God can judge them, the better (even if not quite biblical!!!)

(fuming that things like this still happen!!!)

This is awful, but I am wondering why it was not discovered much sooner than this! When my son, Marty, was in special ed classes I was there half the time myself as a volunteer, especially when he was younger. Were there not other people in this room? I cannot imagine one teacher being assigned the care and education needs of 12 children with demands such as this. Is there not laws in this county about student/teacher ratio, and what about federal education for the disabled laws?

Something really strange has been going on and if I were a parent, after first wondering what in the world was wrong with me for allowing such a thing, I would file a lawsuit against the teacher who did this and the school district who allowed it.

But to tell you the truth I am having a hard time believing this in this day and age, so do you have more information we could look at, newspaper reports, etc.? I mean, 12 children, and people did not see what was going on! Very strange.

I wanted to make you all aware of a situation that is taking or tookplace in Lackawanna County, PA. A special education teacher by thename of Zorek {not sure of the spelling} has been charged withabusing 12 children that have Autism and are non-verbal. The abusetook place from 2001 - 2003 in the school. The school wasinvestigating her, and transfered her instead of firing her! Theparents TRUSTED this "teacher" with their children! The class room is described as "a chamer or horrors" where she tiedchildren to chairs, used duct tape, broke bones, other abuse, intimidation and caused terror and fear by UNAUTHORIZED abuse andpunishment! This woman, IF convicted only faces 12 years of prison time IF foundguilty and sentenced!
