Guest guest
I trust him more than I trust you and your cut and paste opinion posts veiled as facts! Hmmm. I am trying to figure out what is so bad about an advisory group focusing on better mental and physical health this country. Last time I checked, advisory groups collect facts and make recommendations. They don't carry out mandates. As an American I am insulted by the words " royal decree " when discussing an executive order. Curious about your news source , did your news source consider all of the previous administration's executive orders to by " royal decrees " ? I am going out on limb and saying " NO " . Clearly the American people are struggling with lifestyle related diseases. Let's remember this generation coming up is the only one that has a life expectancy LESS than their parents. And 60% of us are considered obese. Type 2 diabetes, back in the olden days when Professor Ayers was a college student , it was called Adult Onset Diabetes because it was never found in children. Advisory groups AND legislation were needed when America was facing its last public health crisis. That was the sixties, when most adults smoked and smoking was permitted everywhere, including the doctor's office. Would seem to me that legislation mandating a soda tax, banning fast and unhealthy food in schools and perhaps something that could get Americans off the couch, away from the remote control and engaging in discourse with others might be a good thing. And really, what is the point of bringing up Professor Ayers and Rev. ? What in the world do they have to do with this advisory committee? Oh yeah, nothing. I could go on all day about many points in this post, but really! This is a chat group about traditional foods. Not about the Religious Right and Libertarians vs. the Democrats. > > Source: http://nannystateliberationfront.net/2010/06/12/obama-issues-executive-order-man\ dating-lifestyle-behavior-modification/ > If you are feeling stressed-out, sad, confused, hungry, thirsty, bored, or tired, do you honestly trust President Obama and his " Advisory Group " to act in your best interests? >
