Speaking of traditional food.......

I've just chosen to DELETE a few recent posts that were sent in by a couple of

our great members. It made me sad to do it, and I dearly love these people, BUT

I did so because I feel like the negativity and hostility of the theme " HOW

SCREWED UP OUR COUNTRY IS " was getting out of hand. We all know that these

political issues DO affect us. But, I like to savor the fact that almost every

one of us are already working hard to do the right thing for farming and eating.

We ARE doing something political! We are VOTING WITH OUR FORKS to create the

kind of agriculture and culture that we want.

That's what I want conversations here to be about. Good Food. There are

thousands of angry websites to argue to your heart's content about the

president, the congress, and the other officials, BUT, this is NOT THAT GROUP!

Again, this is a SAFE PLACE to talk, ask questions, and share information about

how to find good food and how to cook it. A friendly place where we can all

discuss the entire nature of learning " how to eat " all over again.

I encourage everyone who wants this group to be " more political " or " more angry "

to go back and reread the " MISSION STATEMENT " on our home page, then see if that

works for you. THIS IS A PLACE TO TALK ABOUT GREAT TRADITIONAL FOOD...
