Guest guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Share Posted January 25, 2002 Hi everyone. I got a call from s GI thisafternoon to say she wants to admit for 6 days next week for observation. As far as I know she isnt planning on running any tests, only watching s food pattern (or lack of) together with a dietician. Dh and I relise this is the first step in finally getting some kind of diagnosis, by order of elimination, but just exactly what will they be looking at and for? I cant help feeling its US under the microscope here, and worry they think its OUR problem and not his. The GI mentioned also that it would be good if we left the room while they were offering food, so I immediately wondered if this was usual or not. I'm very sure we arent the first on this group to have their child admitted for observation for food issues, so if you can offer me some insight on what its all about I would truly appreciate it. The GI has labelled s GI issues as 'complex' and has never mentioned at any time that she thought any of the problems were other than physical ones.
