Guest guest
Hi Ursula, I mentioned it to our GI and he didn't know what I was talking about either. We are dealing with a military hospital so they always seem to have weird terms for things. Has anyone ever had this test? I don't think that one of them was pneumovax? I'm going to have to call the doctor today so I will ask, I know there was TB and Measles. She had no response at all so this week they repeated them in higher doses yesterday morning and still no response. We go back in for readings on Wednesday and Thursday. Her IGM & IGA were minutely low but the doctor said really when you account for how small she is, they are probably ok. Yet she continues to get sick all the time. It's very aggravating. I was emptying her potty chair last night and noticed blood in her stools, I wonder if she is reacting to the shots. She doesn't eat anything, she's just on Neocate formula. We are having a lot of problems with antibiotics because of her GI problems. We were using Rocephin injections whenever she needed them but last month she reacted to the Rocephin and had bloody stools so I'm not sure what we are going to use now. I really hope they can give me some answers soon. I hate not knowing. It is just bugging me that it all seemed to go downhill after her 6 month shots. Sorry for the confusion, I've just never heard an antibody test referred to by that term. I'm sorry to hear that Mackenzie has responded so poorly. Was one of the tests for pneumovax? That is the pneumococcal vaccination and levels are drawn to see if a patient responds. Again, welcome and feel free to jump in and ask any questions you may have.
