My husband and I would like to get pregnant in the not to distant future. We

have been eating traditional foods to optimize our baby-making potential for

the past few months, and plan to continue to do so.

The sources about foods to eat on the WAP and Nourished Magazine as well as

the Nourishing Trad. Cookbook are pretty limited on this subject.

My MAIN concern for this post is that I am getting enough Folic Acid. I know

this is very important for a baby's development. Of course I am eating lots

of leafy greens, as well as about 2 tsp. raw, frozen liver daily which one

article mentioned is high in Folic Acid. I would prefer not to take a

supplement, but it is hard to tell how much folic acid is enough. Has anyone

else heard if these foods are providing enough folic acid for me?

Does anyone know a trad-foods friendly midwife who may know that answer more

specifically?

I am also drinking about 32 oz. raw milk daily, 2 eggs daily (usually raw),

coconut oil, lots of butter etc.

Thanks.

Hope
