Guest guest
Hey, I'm looking for one too! I love good Mexican food (when you get the " real " stuff it's truly TRADITIONAL FOOD in every sense of the word). That culture came up with their version of the " THREE SISTERS " , CORN, BEANS, & SQUASH, the perfect complement of all the essential amino acids, something I'm attempting to duplicate in my own organic gardening studies. I think I've found the perfect heirloom corn, the perfect heirloom squash, and I'm looking for the perfect bean. I don't much like raising beans, so it's no wonder I haven't found it yet. For now, I'm content with buying my beans at the coop, but yet I know I'm really missing something. If and when we are all forced to go back to Mother Nature for daily existence, those with gardening skills and hunting skills will survive. Meanwhile, we can give GRATITUDE for being SO BLESSED that can spend some time trying to find that perfect Mexican restaurant! I've got a couple of suggestions but I'd relish other nominations for this. If I get more than one, I'll open up a fine just for NT-oriented Mexican Restaurants. I remember a while back I was dining in the Mexican restaurant at 66th and Nicollet Ave watching the owner-family cleaning peppers and garden-fresh vegetables shipped to them from their family in Mexico. The site was stunning. When I've traveled in Mexico, i saw live chickens, freshly-killed goats, and bushels of greens being hauled in the front door as I ate. Mexican street cart vendors offer the most delicious food I've ever tasted. And, if you ever go to a Mexican Mercada (Farmer's Market) you will never forget the colors, flavors, variety, sights and sounds! True Traditional Nutrition, exactly what we have managed to lose in our own country! Let's get it back! Nominations are open....
