Hi ,

Thanks for your post, especially about recommending the body rub, as I feel that it's an extremely important part of healing. Unfortunately, many people don't "see how that could help", and only give it a half-hearted try. Perhaps your encouragement will help others to discover the body rub's benefits.

And for some people, like myself, who had lots of fat underneath the skin, it took a year, to begin to see the results of the "skin polishing"! I no longer have to use body lotions, and have smoother, softer skin than when I did. Now, if only it would take care of leg hair! (sorry, guys)

Never underestimate the inevitability of gradualness.

PS, finding the right counselor makes a huge difference....

Hi Klara, i went thru the same thing until i found the right washcloth,

and then i actually began to enjoy doing it instead of feeling like i

was supposed to do it. If you aren't actually enjoying what you are

doing it is a sign that you aren't doing it correctly.> From: Klara LeVine <klara_levine>> Subject: Re: Does anyone know this counselor?> > Date: Monday, September 8, 2008, 11:07 PM> Hi again everyone,> > Just popping in here to see what's

Dottie, come here, I have the BEST person for waxing, she is so amazing hair takes forever to grow back. It took a long time and lots of wasted money to find her. She does amazing facial, etc stuff too. She is the best!I do have to get back into the body scrub, stopped for a bit!Reg>> Hi , > > Thanks for your post, especially about recommending the body rub, as I feel that it's an extremely important part of healing. i did just quickly want to give the website address for SHI--it is

www.strengthenhealth.org. THey have something on there called Ask SHI,

so that if you have a question they can help you. i hope to go

take some of their programs pn the next year or two. i try to emphasize

things like the body rub precisely because i am still struggling

alot with cooking and need further instruction with that even after all

these years. One other thing i have found is to find some books

that really inspire you and even if you can read a page or two a day it

helps me keep going. Denny says to chew on your ideas the way you chew

your food, very slowly. i still have my rough moments, and i still have

anxiety attacks at times, but it is nothing like before.. Another

thing i have found helpful, it may sound strange, i haven't even kissed

anyone in the last 5 years. in our culture a kiss in regarded as

a casual thing but even a kiss has a strong energetic impact. i

am waiting patiently for the right partner to appear, and up until that

point i will be alone, and i feel so much better about myself and in

every way. Michio Kushi writes about tis is his book The Way of Life in

the Age of Humanity. There is a chapter called Sexual Order, Old and

New, and i have met alot of people who need to read it. After my last

relationship 5 years ago, i realized i had to redefine what i found

attractive and what i found sexy, and i am still working on that.> From: Klara LeVine <klara_levine>> Subject: Re: Does anyone know this counselor?> > Date: Monday, September 8, 2008, 11:07 PM> Hi again everyone,> > Just popping in here to see what's

Hi ,

You are such a nice person. I truly hope that you find someone who deserves you. And in the meantime, you're certainly making good use of your time :-)

I also want to encourage everyone to sign up for Denny's newsletter at the Strengthening Health Institute. Although some of the info is advertisement, there's also valuable tips for living healthier.

And yes, , studying with great cooks will really increase your own skills, making cooking quicker & more enjoyable. IMO, cooking classes are never a waste of money.

I smiled about what our "sexy images" are....I remember the "forwarding" email that shows the hunks from yester-year and what they look like now. UGH! So, looking at eyes full of compassion, love, & adoration toward me, is sexier than any physical beauty.

Wishing everyone a day of beauty, peace, & contentment.

Dottie

Thank you, Dottie, for your kindness. i actually have found i enjoy

being alone for the most part. it is freeing in many ways, i don't have

anyone to answer to besides my children. Looking back i know that i was

addicted to getting attention from men. And i really didn't like the

person i was when i was part of a couple. i grew up being

verbally abused, and i kept attracting that over and over. So

yes, i have decided to make better use of my time. i also have twin

teenage girls and i want to set the right example for them to be strong

and independent, and to draw a very clear line between what is

acceptable and what is not. Thanks again.

Wow, 2 teenagers! What an exciting challenge that is....

And what a world we live in today: with so many opportunities, with so many young people being brighter than previous generations! Of course, all of these great things can create more stress for today's parents trying to guide their children to be strong & independent. But of course, my parents & their friends thought that it was difficult raising my generation. lol

Your post reminded me of a post from another group:

"Who is the wisest man? He who neither knows or wishes for anythingelse than what happens." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

, I'm glad that you're part of our group.

hi Dottie i am very happy to have found this group, there aren't many

people to my knowledge here in DE into macrobiotics. There are some raw

foodists, but i have no interest in raw food, period. i tried some

things and i could never honestly say that i felt like i had a

meal. How long have u been macrobiotic and who were your teachers?
