Guest guest
Hi Audrey! I can certainly relate to how you feel! Here are a few things that I use to help me relax enough go to sleep when the pain is really bad...hot shower, soaking in hot tub, whirlpool bath, rocking in my rocking chair...hope you find something that works for you soon!! My doctor has given me meds that will knock me out if it's too bad...but I try not to use them too often. Guest guest
Hi Audrey, Welcome to the group. Sorry it has to be under these circumstances and that you have to deal with this horrible disease. I have had RA for most of my life, having been finally diagnosed at the age of 13. It really wasn't to bad until after I had my second son at 27, and my hormones went out of wack. It took almost 5 years to get it under control. I definately think hormones have something to do with it. I'm 40 now and have since been diagnosed with severe spinal OA,fibromyalgia, reynauds syndrome, "mild"lupus, costochondritis & tmj. I'm on a bunch of meds and looking forward to starting Kineret in January. I hope you start feeling better especially at this time of year. Good Luck & God Bless, Barbara angelgirl3412 <audreyw@...> wrote: hi there everyone, i have just been diagnosed with ra on monday. i am 35years old and i was very distressed with the diagnosis. my mum has ra very bad and is now on embrel which seems to help her. my doctor has put me on steriods to ease the pain over christmas and selexpyrine (sorry about spelling) which is now starting to kick in but i am having magor problems sleeping. i am so tired but cant sleep. any ideas? i am going to try some chamomile tea tonight and see if that works lets hope so. anyhow thanks for listening audrey
