Hi ,

I once had symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection, and my doc said that

protein in the urine was a sign of this. There are other things it can be

though, I'm sure others will have an idea.

Other than the leukocytes (which I thought was maybe a sign of infection), I

would say dehydration. My kids both get protein in the urine if they are

dehydrated. I hope others have more of an idea than I do.

PS. When is 's scope? I am really glad they are checking him for EE.

FYI if he has it and you get exact results, like numbers of eos etc. and you

still have problems, you may want to email DR. Putnam to see how he would

proceed.

Re: White blood cells in urine

Someone with a medical background told me (I can't remember who) that

inflammation can result in white blood cells being released. There may be

inflammation without infection due to a variety of reasons. Perhaps your

doctor may have some suggestions.

Hope this helps.

- who said no UTI? Leukocytes, blood and protein are all signs of a

UTI. Hopefully the urine was also

cultured. That should give you the final result. Sounds like a UTI to me

though.
