Guest guest
Hi , & welcome to Macrobiotics & this group. Since you have some health problems, I suggest that you work with a macrobiotic counselor, who can give you very specific directions for your particular condition. There are many macro foods that are easier to digest. As your system becomes stronger, more foods can be added to your diet. If there are no counselors nearby, some will offer advice by phone & email. It's also much easier to begin macro, if you can attend some cooking classes. Knowing the proper ways to prepare healing foods will speed your recovery. Let us know, if you need help in finding a counselor. Wishing you the best of everything. Dottie Illinois, USA [sPAM] Hello from new member & question about oil Hi everybody, I'm a new member from the Netherlands, 31 Year old male suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis and major digestional problems. I'm currently trying to switch to a macrobiotic diet but have a hard time doing so because most macrobiotic foods are very hard to digest. I have a question about oil. My meals do not digest well when I use too much oil. My stools get fatty very quickly because I have a hard time digesting fat. I limit fat intake in my meals but I'm also concerned about not getting enough fat because I'm currently very underweight. How many teaspoons of oil per day does a person have to take to be sure he doesn't get a shortage? What is the general recommended amound of oil? (Some details about me: I have a swollen and loose lower lip, my intestines are much too yin) Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.338 / Virus Database: 267.10.6/69 - Release Date: 11-8-2005
