Hi again , My father is getting on in years and all he wants to do is get rid of all the possessions he has - he is constantly saying he wants nothing. But the present that's always loved is family pictures, put on different items - one year my husband made a calendar with different pictures for each month - this year when he went to visit his folks, he brought cups with pictures on them. One year I found a very cheap picture frame that was in a scrabble kind of background, (my Dad loves scrabble) - and pillows are always so nice and practical to have pictures on. , there are lots of sites on the computer for how to save money, how to do homemade things, etc - I admit I haven't been reading them lately (just the mb groups is enough for me) but I can forward you the next one I see if you'd like - I believe that's where I posted about the freecycle site - did you read that one?? I'm sure they'd be posting ideas about now -

also flylady would post that kind of thing - kind of late for this year, but some people posted how they look for sales all year long and put the items aside, so when the holidays come, it's mostly done. offbeat question, as are most of mine I guess, but does anyone here own or ever use a vita-mixer? I keep getting call after call, and now emails somehow about buying a vita-mixer and I wonder what the hype is all about? Or is it hype?
