-Great info . You're right, I think the Self Healing Cookbood was my

first too.

There are some really great Kushi cancer books. I have a bunch but my mom's

best friend

has cancer and I've loaned all the books to her so I can't refer to them.

Kay, is right, keep having faith, please please ask all questions here as

the people

really want to help. I'm so lucky to have found a great group of people with so

much

knowledge. You really should get a counselor you can work with, when you are

ready for

the specifics. In the meantime, gain knowledge, eat more simply and be

positive.

It's funny b/c in November when we were at her place she meant to show us the

trailer and

we got all caught up and never did see it. Now I get to see the whole thing.

If I forget and

you find out when it's airing, please do send a reminder here?

Thanks,

Hi Klara, Kay, & others,

As you said, almost everything can be "fixed". I'm probably the master-mind of making mistakes & not having enough money to throw anything out, figuring out how to correct dishes.

This is a great way to really learn about tastes & cooking. If something is awful, stop, and think about it, visualizing what it needs: more cooking, a bit of ginger, a bit of freshness (add grated sour apple, carrot, etc), perhaps some crunch (add nuts, seeds, sprouts, or perhaps some oil (stir fry it, add olive oil, tahini, or ground nuts), or perhaps some salt (gomashio, ume vinegar, shiso powder, a dab of soy, etc).

And sometimes it just goes into a stew.

And as Klara said, sautéed onions helps everything! Keep the mind open & create your own dish, never revealing that it was a mistake.

BTW, some people take a while to develop a taste for un-processed foods, so just give your taste buds time to adjust & your cooking instincts to develop.

Dottie and anyone else, I don't want to feel I'm the keeper of the files - so if you don't mind - if you think what you write can be of help of those new in mb, can you add it to the files (go to files, find the one for new mb, push edit (NOT DELETE!!!!!) and just add on a cc of what you wrote - is that ok?? I think what you wrote down below is great - very true about taste buds changing!!!! KlaraDottie Roseboom <rosedot@...> wrote: Hi Klara, Kay, & others, As you said, almost everything can be "fixed".
