Guest guest
Thanks for all the advice on my recent questions. I only started drinking KT for about 2 weeks and am up to about 16 oz. a day. I'm now noticing that the skin on my face around my mouth and under my nose feels very scaly and has been itching and burning. Its not a visible rash, but something has definitely changed. Could this be because of the KT? Has anyone else had an experience like this? Also, my SCOBY has grown A LOT in the last 2 weeks and the room its in smells like Kombucha! Does it generally have such a strong smell? I think I started this 2nd batch with more KT from the original batch than I should have. How can I tone down the strong taste and smell? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Kathy . I just had soemone complain to me about a kombucha rashy itch, with no apparent rash . We suspect some of the toxins are being released form her cells and liver ,but its not coming out of her body just yet ,so its manefesting at the skin ... I would suggest drinking more water during the day to flush ...,and maybe lessening the amt you are drinking for now . Maybe 12 oz ? Give that a few days ,and then see if you can go back to 16 oz. If the rash remains, its dermatologist time . This same person said she learned 2 ways to sweeten the KT. She adds it only to the glass she is about to drink . And either she adds some grape juice,or liquifies a dry sweetener ,and then adds it to the glass .. She does this to taste . And yes ,it smells strong !! I am used to it already .. Gppd luck , and I hope it all works out for you ! Missy .. > > Thanks for all the advice on my recent questions. I only started > drinking KT for about 2 weeks and am up to about 16 oz. a day.
