You can use several scobys for each new brew. Each scoby is like a sponge, full off good acidic KT! > The KT that has the scobys is very Rich and vinegary stored in a quart > jar. Pouring a little of that over the scobys on top of your new brews should reward you with excellent results. > Do I still need to add some cider vinegar? No, I wouldn't. If, however you have second thoughts, make sure you do not add any unpasteurised cider vinegar. If in doubt, bring it to the boil and leave until cold before adding any. But I really don't think that it should be necessary. > The reason that I need to add more is other people like my KT and I > run short for my self. What a good idea! Make sure, you do not show off your scobys - they are the secrets of the trade, neither let them see the stringy oogly or gloopy bits. What I usually do - very successfully, strain the KT from cooled bottle to glass, or pour it into glass with icecubes and then, after they have enjoyed a glass or two do a wager, whether they can guess what your house drink is made of. It may also be helpful to point out that your housebrew is only as alcoholic as orange juice. Then see, what happens ;-) Greetings from UK-land ! -- +------------------ Minstrel@... --------------------+ <)))<>< http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk <)))<>< http://www.AnswersInGenesis.com +----------------- http://www.Gotquestions.org ------------------+ Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.
