I did so from a quality commercial kombucha tea purchased from a local health food store. I was anxious to get started and learned that others have had success with this process. This morning I noticed the first little bit of film (scoby!) forming on the top. I am pleased and excited! I look forward to the coming days and seeing this process all the way through to a delicious and healthful beverage! As a kefir-maker, ginger-beer-fermentor, mead-brewer and many other natural-frement-facilitator, this is very exciting! Just had to share.
