Guest guest
I read with interest just about every post on this board. You all are so helpful and informative. I had harvested a batch of KT into 16 oz glass bottles. Added some dried cranberries and fresh sliced ginger to the bottles and then capped. After reading about all the exploding bottles, I was careful to not put the caps on tight. I just kind of set them on top of the bottles so they could breath as I was leaving them sitting out instead of refrigerating them. I noticed a film forming on the top that looked very much like what a scoby looks like when it is forming on a brewing batch. My next batch I harvested the same way but put them in the refrigerator instead of leaving them sitting out. They did not form the film on top. Is it normal for harvested tea to form this kind of film if it is left sitting out at room temp? Thanks for reading my post and answering. -- April The Lotus rises from the mud and dirt Sweet Lotus Creations www.sweetlotuscreations.com
