Gwen, that is such a creative idea. You young mothers are so smart. Love and blessings, Pat K

Caleb

I actually got Caleb to try ham, rice dressing, potato salad, and a chocolate cupcake tonight. And guess what he liked all of them. Y'all know the birthday fairy took all of his toys last night. Tonight we got together with my family to celebrate my oldest one's 18th birthday. I was really joking with Caleb and told him if you take a bite of the potato salad then the birthday fairy will bring back your star wars toys. He took a bite so I just kept going with it who would have known. He actually sat down and ate a couple of pieces of ham. You never know what is going to work and of course if it works today doesn't mean it will work tomorrow. I'm thankful for every small step we make. Gwen

Keep Caleb in your prayers tomorrow morning. He is having an MRI of

his brain. They are going to sedate him and I'm starting to get

nervous. It's the first time they put him under and I know he is

going to pitch a fit. He can't have anything to eat or drink after

midnight and we have a 2 hr drive to get there in the morning.

Lois: Caleb never had an MRI done before. We finally found a decent neurologist. He just wants to see what's going on up there if anything. Boys on the spectrum are more likely to have seizures when they hit puberty. We want to make sure Caleb isn't having silent seizures. I just want the piece of mind knowing we did everything we could to help him. Gwen

  • 3 weeks later...

Gwen,

*hugs* I know that breaks our heart when our kiddos get sick. My son threw up 2x

last week but is better now. The Dr said it was a stomach virus. Maybe your son

has that but I dont know about the not urinating part. Let us know what the Dr

says today, k

Also congrats Caleb on an awesome report card!

Caleb is sick again. I can't seem to keep him well. He was home

Friday because he couldn't hold anything down. That lasted about 24

hours. He was doing good then Sunday night he started again. He is

having trouble urinating, constipated, and very pale. Back to the dr

tommorrow. With the amount of water he drinks he should have no

problems urinating. All he will drink is water and nothing else.

Caleb got his report card today. He has a 4.0 principal's list. I am

so proud of him. He struggles with everything else in life I am glad

something comes easy to him.

Congratulations to Caleb on his good report card; that is wonderful.

I'm so sorry that he is sick again. Is he on any meds that could be

causing that? Pat K

Bless Caleb's heart; all that on top of autism; that is a lot to cope with. I have an eleven year

old granddaughter who has asthma and sometimes it has scared me. Love and blessings, Pat K

http://www.mieleusa.com/ Miele has the best vacuums for this problem.

the problem is they are expensive. Call your local dealers and explain you have

a sick child and ask if they can order a personal use vacuum. Dealers get a huge

discount for personal use and if they have a heart they will help you out. If

not keep calling. The filtration of particulates is the best. Their bags are so

nice it is hard to throw them out.
