Guest guest Posted May 30, 2007 Report Share Posted May 30, 2007 I'm enjoying my first completed batch of 'booch, and the next two aren't far behind! The secondary fermentation with a piece of ginger for about five days was just right. It's so fizzy and refreshing, a thrill to be able to make it at home! One of the two new batches is made with tea from 3 bags white, 3 bags green and 2 bags black tea, the other batch with all black tea. It will be fun to shake things up, try new combos. Already starting to give scobies away, which I feel especially good about as they seem to be hard to find here in Chicago at present. Looks like a few of us may change that soon (just in time for my move back to Oregon, where they seem more plentiful). The ideas, support and energy of this list is great. Thanks!
