Guest guest
Here in Texas as sun tea jar is usually a gallon jug of some sort (some are manufactured with a plastic spigot} you fill with water, drop in your desired amount of tea or tea bags, set all in the sun until of the desired strength, pour in a glass, add ice and whatever sweeteners and lemon if you wish. Sit down take a long cool drink and say aaaahhhhhh! K but still not a clue as to what a " Sun Tea " jar is? > ? ???? ?? > > Nn. England. Guest guest
Beth, are you brewing it the continuous way or the other way? I was thinking I'd use it for either. Bev, when you used it for continuous did you do ok with it (the sun tea jar)? jan > > > > I can post pictures if you want to see my set up. I have been brewing > in a Sun Tea Jar for over a year now. Guest guest
Beth, are you brewing it the continuous way or the other way? I was thinking I'd use it for either. I am using it for the brew it, bottle it, drink it... repeat cycle. The non-continuous way. The other way just seems too complicated somehow. I think you'd need a bigger jar for the continuous brew to really work, but I could be wrong. I just found 3 more jars at the GoodWill Store yesterday for 2 bucks apiece. Gotta love it! Guest guest
Hi Same here. It looks like the Continuous Method is somehow more complicated: How much sweet tea should one add? Shouldn't it be in proportion to or the exact quantity what was drawn? What is the cut-off point for continuous fermentation. 2.5 Gallons? 5 ? more? How consistent is the taste? It seems one must keep track of how much KT you add in order to add the right proportion of sweet tea, lest the brew move to a different state; is that correct? Let us know Frantz Beth Karow <beth@...> wrote: Beth, are you brewing it the continuous way or the other way? I was thinking I'd use it for either.
