Just jumping in here as a list reader that learned about moving lymph the

hard way.....Keep it moving!

Having been down for several years from an old leg injury and following the

allopathic route, I stayed off the leg. Bad news. When I finally wised up

and got moving, I realized the benefit.

Likewise, after a mastectomy and some persistent swelling in the arm and

hand, I went back to full-time farming and the swelling moved out rapidly.

Of course, every situation is different, but even now, with my affected arm

and leg, when I have a sedentary period, I note swelling that is reduced by

activity.

With my rebounder and Chi Machine and normal activity, I have been able to

stay very level.

I heard from a friend today that is having problems with her arm. Several

yrs

ago she had breast cancer and had her breast and lymph nodes removed plus

she had chemo. Seven yrs later, now the cancer is back but the last couple of

yrs she has been juicing and doing many things for her health.

She said her arm is swollen and painful. I fear it's her lack of lymph nodes

to move out the toxins but don't know what to tell her.

Any thoughts?

Yes, it sounds like a healing reactions and inflammation. You might want to

check out my website page that explains this and maybe you can pass this on to

her.

My thought is that IF your first idea is correct (that it is

lymph backup), then I would suggest doing every other thing

under the sun that helps move lymph. Here are a few, I'm sure

you can find more:

1. deep breathing

2. massage (there are some specific massage techniques that

move lymph, but my guess is any kind would help a bit)

3. aerobic exercise--- say a brisk walk, nothing fancy, just

movement.

4. there are certainly lyphatic herbs. I'm certain that there

is at least some talk of this in Hobbs' book

The Foundations of Health. (I'm not saying this is better

than other herbal books-- it happens to be a book I'm

familiar with.)

5. rebounding (jumping on a " rebounder " mini trampoline)

6. skin brushing

Probably also alternating hot and cold showers.

good wishes,

Moria

There are two similar devices (one is a copycat of the other) called the Photon

Sound Beam and the Light Beam Generator. They are specifically designed to move

lymph and in fact emit ozone as well.

I haven't used them, so can't comment on my personal reactions. I do know that

users generally report favorably on them. Perhaps someone else has more

information than I do.

Don't know if this is appropriate for the problem, but Comfrey Root

compresses will reduce inflammation and swelling. I've never seen

anything like it. The stuff is miraculous.

You would grind the root to a powder, add to boiling water for 3-5

mins. to make a gravy, spread onto sheet while very warm / hot, and wrap

the area. Leave on for an hr.

Great suggestions, Neenah! I would add that it is not uncommon for different

limbs to swell when one is detoxing, I have witnessed it many times. One of the

worst was when I started using ozone. My left arm swelled to almost twice the

size and leg swelled to more than twice, especially around my ankle, even though

I have all my lymph nodes. I believe my left leg was made worse by the fact

that I have broken or severely damaged my left ankle 5 times when I was younger.

I am sure it interfered with eh lymph carrying away the toxins, therefore the

swelling as it came out through the skin. I think having interfered with eh

lymph nodes is going to make her recovery much slower and worse but can still be

done. Tell her to hang in there, the body is an amazing miracle healer!!
