The major difference between the two is (from what I have gathered from much reading) that the Kefir microflora populates the gut (or re-populates it after kicking pathogenic 'things' out.) Kombucha is more 'passing through' and its emphasis is on balancing and detoxifying the body as a whole. So, they are, indeed, complimentary. Guest guest
, I consume both at the same meal or snack time. They seem to work quite well together for me. Guest guest
I don't know about spare Kefir grains....I emailed someone on the forum over a month ago asking if they had any they could send (they had offered some to another person) and never heard back from them. If someone DOES have any, we would love to brew our own Kefir...we are both in our mid to late 60's and are trying to stay as healthy as possible. Have been drinking Kombucha since March and have seen wonderful results, but are really interested in Kefir also. We live in Oregon and will also be glad to pay shipping costs. --------------------------------- Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Travel. Guest guest
Hiya All, if you google Doms Kefir, there's a worldwide kefir exchange, someone should be able to post you some for the cost of the postage (there's a list on the site). Ebays also an option, but the kefir exchange should (hopefully) be able to link you to someone locally. Hope this helps! > > check ebay. i found some. > > >
Guest guest
Could you please let us know where exactly on Dom's Kefir site we would find the worldwide Kefir Exchange? I only found the link to where one can buy from Dom... Or maybe provide the link to the exchange page? Thank you, Do > > > > check ebay. i found some. > > > > > >
