Guest guest
This is a Repost of an earlier post to the list from Baker: Re: Is kombucha a blood thinner? Dave, I don't know about research links, but I've got an anecdote for you. The short version: I got my neighbors started brewing KT, and my neighbor was on coumadin. The reading (USA scale) should have been 2.0, and it was 3.7. Turned out it was the KT. The next round (he was having a series of heart ops) of taking it, he got a reduced dosage of coumadin. The heart specialist's office was quite willing to work with him on it. He drinks about 16 oz a day. Please note that KT is a balancer, it is thought by many not to thin blood to dangerous levels, but to balance problems. If you needed blood thinning, the KT would do so. Some people have said that KT thins the blood universally, but I have always bruised very easily and in fact have been less subject to bruising since I started drinking it. So the my personal experience is that the KT brings balance to the blood. --V
