Hi De,

Glad if I can be of help. As for Spyke - I never know where he gets these things. He's just a show off - likes to amaze people with his erudition. He also speaks many languages - cat, dog, parrot english & french are the ones I know of, now he'll have to show me the others.

You might have to get some of those childproof doorknob covers for the outside doors.

Don't you worry De, with the support of my big crazy on-line family I can deal with whatever life throws at me. I've got to find a way to trim Spyke's nails though, my right arm looks like it's been through a meat slicer. Suzie

Sorry

to hear of your ordeal, SuzieQ, but glad you found Mr. Spyke before he got into

any real danger.

De

SpYke

I almost lost Spyke today. I was bringing him out for his fresh

air lying in the sun time & he took off trying to find the little girl cat

who's been teasing him. I didn't have a firm grip on his leash & off he

went, under the fence & into the jungle next door (the old guy's daughter

is too cheap to have someone come over & mow etc) I ran through my yard

& into the jungle. My hair got tangled in Lord knows what & I got

scratched by many other unknown things. As I made my way through the yard

I was wishing for a machete or two. There was no sign of the miscreant (Spyke).

I was terrified, crying & shaking, thinking of the

terrible things that could happen to a fat (oops, I meant fluffy) little

cat in a purple harness & a leash. The leash could get tangled in

anything & he wouldn't be able to get loose, then there are cars

& mean cats who would tease him & make fun of his

harness. Oh the horrors out in the world just waiting for pampered little

darlings like my Spyke !!

Well, when I made it through the jungle what did I find

but Spyke, his leash had caught in some plants & he'd wound it around a

flag pole trying to get it loose - it took me four or five tries to untangle

it. He got dragged back to the house & given a quality talking too. He's

grounded to the house for the next week.

I had to take a bath to get rid of the little strangers I ran

into in the jungle & I think I should probably wash my hair.

I'm exhausted & I still have to brush him - who knows

what lurks in that jungle. I'm just glad I got him back.

Hugs,

SuZie (no Spyke - he's not allowed to use the puter - part of

his grounding)

You guys should have seen the SpYkester today, it was so funny I'm still giggling. They're tearing down two houses just down the street - noise, ground shaking etc. I got home from running some errands & went to see if SpYke wanted to go out & lie in the sun as usual, he seemed a little hesitant. I guess the guy on the back hoe was on break, it was quieter out there for a while. When they came back & started up the machinery I had a furball stuck to the front door screen, about half way to the top. Opened the door to let him in & he was trying to hide under the bed (hard to do with a water bed) Big tough Galatic Overlord in training scared of a few machines, HAH - gotcha.

He knows he's HANDSOME. He gets really ticked when someone calls him pretty, says that's a "girl" word & he's a guy(but he is pretty isn't he) My little boy is the best looking cat I've ever had. I just love his tail, all fluffy. SuZiegail <gaila@...> wrote: He knows he is a pretty boy. Gail Fwd: Re: Spyke Here are a

My neighbours down the block have a Bichon Frise male & a female who's half Bichon & half Shitzu. They are some of the cutest pups I've seen. The female wants to play with SpYke but he won't play until he figures out what they are. He keeps sniffing & looking at me like " smells like dog but they're smaller than me" SuZie & Sir SpYke the Large - he weighs in at 12 lbs nowgail <gaila@...> wrote: That is a nice combination. Many years ago I had a dog that was half maltese and half toy poodle. It was a sweetheart.I am trying to get a long haired chiwawa.I find there disposition so different from the regular chiwawa. They are very quiet and very affectionate.I love my German Shepherds but would like a little dog for myself with the big ones.
