Guest guest
Saul, I just read a new study where they are trying to find ways to beat biofilms. Bacteria are up to 1,000 more resistant to antibiotics when they form biofilms. It is a common cause of lung infections in cystic fibrosis, and perhaps they will one day find out it is a common cause of antibiotic resistance in chronic infections, whether gut or sinus or whatever. I am not sure of all the specifics of biofilms or why they are so resistant, though some of it seems to be that they congregate together and form films over their colony that don't allow antibiotics to penetrate. I was wondering if there had been any research or could we speculate how ozone might impact that? I recall you saying ozone could not reach an encapsulated tumor and it was recommended to strip the tumor somehow, either with EDTA, or other means so that ozone could access it. Just wondering out loud, thanx.
Guest guest
Dear Jill, Your “wondering out loud” is very thought provoking. Encapsulation is an issue. What works here? EDTA? Protein dissolving enzymes? Chymotrypsin? There is a fibrin dissolving enzyme made from silk worms called serrapeptase that may be of interest. Guest guest
From: " Colin Yardley " <yardley@...> Dear Jill, Your " wondering out loud " is very thought provoking. Encapsulation is an issue. What works here? EDTA? Protein dissolving enzymes? Chymotrypsin? There is a fibrin dissolving enzyme made from silk worms called serrapeptase that may be of interest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------- I'll do some wondering, too, because of what I've just been through with the " head cold from hell " . I've posted here, way in the past, about being dxed with " fungal ear " finally, after itching and getting brain fogged and a kind of sinus " ache " way back in posterior sinus cavities. I was in that condition for about 5 years till an ENT took a 10 second look in one ear, and said 'fungus'. That was in '99, I think. That's when I got a Plasmafire from Saul! Wonderful thing that it is, and I still thank God that I had it when I had the encounter with the deer tick 2 yrs ago. At any rate, I still get bothered though not as noticeably, with the ear/sinus thing. (and if I could remember to get the strong man who put the regulator on, to now take it off, I could get more oxygen, which I've been out of for awhile!) I'll try cutting to the chase here--------I started using Vitalzyme, systemically, about 2 months ago. It was an on again/off again thing for awhile, due to traveling. About 4 weeks ago, I started using it faithfully, 3 caps, 3x a day. So far, so good. Then I read an article by Mark Konlee, of Keep Hope Alive, about a man who used Guaifenisin constantly after a strep throat, and though HIV positive, never progressed to AIDS. Light bulb moment; my doc had given me Guai last Spring but I never used it even though it's said to be the most innocuous drug ever made. I started 2 Guai, 2x a day along with the Vitalzyme. And that's when I got the 'head cold from hell'. It's the first " cold " I've had in 12 years. As you can guess, I knew it was no cold, but a major detox of my sinuses and ears. The Vitalzyme (which contains Serrapeptase) might have done this on it's own, given enough time. I'm taking it because I have a high fibrinogen count that I want to bring down, and it is specific for this purpose. Before seeing this discussion that I'm responding to, I guessed that it was dissolving " something " which had kept this fungus locked in deep in my ears and sinus cavities. Enter Guai, with it's mucous thinning effect, and I think all this walled off infection was set free. With the severity of this " cold " I should've been fighting a sore throat and bronchial problems, but it was all in my ears and sinuses. I had no fever, no aching, just pure misery. I called the drugstore the other day, to renew the Guai, just in case I wanted to act insanely again <G>. Wouldn't you know, insurance will no longer cover it as there is now something OTC in it's place. To get the Guai (brand name is Humabid, by the way) I'd have to pay $66. Forget that! I'm still taking the Vitalzyme, and hope to get a blood test fairly soon to see how the fibrinogen count is doing. Once my supply of Vitalzyme is gone, though, I'll be looking for something else to do the job as this stuff is very pricey. My next experiment will be with Nattokinase combined with a less expensive systemic enzyme-----I don't know what that will be yet till I research some more. Meanwhile, I got a new product from Nenah called " Shegoi " which is made from chapparal and is supposed to be helpful for this kind of sinus problem. but now that I'm feeling better, I'll be darned if I want to clean up anything for a little while! (It's sitting here, Nenah, at least till after I get through the Thanksgiving hoopla!) Okay, there's my " encapsulation " story! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I have seen on Canadian pharmacy shelves: Guaifenisin by Robitussin. I 'm not sure of all the ingredients probably allot of not so good stuff as well. The only active ingredient is Guaifenisin. It is, likely a watered down version of what you had, but you should be able to find it I think : ). Regular cough medicine price to I think. Guest guest
Sharon, this is very interesting, and I have a few questions. I am speculating, I guess, out of some intuition. If I had followed my intuition the day I got lyme, I never would've gotten lyme, but that's another story. Anyway, I am going to look up properties of guai. I know its used in fibro for some people. Nattokinnase is supposed to be a good supplement for fibrinogen. I don't know that it would strip biofilms though. I don't think chapparal does that, its an immune system balancer and as I recall it has some strong anti inflammatory properties. What was your encounter with a lyme tick 2 years ago (or rather, deer tick)? I would love to hear the story and if you trounced it with ozone saunas/ozone of any kind--and/or did you take antibiotics? Finally, what do you mean, you could get more oxgyen from your ozone machien? I'm confused. Thanx. Interesting story! I think this is a useful line of thinking... > ----------------------------------------------- > I'll do some wondering, too, because of what I've just been through with > the " head cold from hell " . > > I've posted here, way in the past, about being dxed with " fungal ear " > finally, after itching and getting brain fogged and a kind of sinus > " ache " way back in posterior sinus cavities. Guest guest
From: " jill1313 " <jenbooks13@...> Hi Jill, What a wonderful article you wrote! I was so pleased to see some of our list members highlighted with the terrific work they do. Kudos to you! > Sharon, this is very interesting, and I have a few questions.> > > What was your encounter with a lyme tick 2 years ago (or rather, deer > tick)? I would love to hear the story and if you trounced it with > ozone saunas/ozone of any kind--and/or did you take antibiotics? Yup, it was a nasty little " lyme " tick. I ended up in the ER after running a fever almost to 104 and passing out; they insisted I had a lung infection and gave me abx which, in sheer desperation I took, knowing my lungs were just fine. 2 days later, the bull's eye showed up. I've never felt so lucky in my life as to see that ugly thing! 28 days of doxycycline--no argument from me this time. Ozonated water and insufflations, and every " natural abx " that I ever heard of. I rotated thru GSE, OLE, ---and lots of colloidal silver, lots of C, beta glucan, mgn-3. I figured whatever the doxy didn't get, all the other things would. Oh, I also diffused oil of oregano whenever I had the chance. After 6 or so weeks of giving new depth to the definition of couch potato, I was actually well again. I've had no symptoms of Lyme since. I remain wary, knowing of it's reputation for hiding out and showing up again much later. > > Finally, what do you mean, you could get more oxgyen from your ozone > machien? I'm confused. Sorry for that! All I meant was that my son-in-law had put the regulator on the oxygen tank for me and it's on so tightly I can't get it off so I can take the tank for a refill! I just keep forgetting to have the man of the house take it off for me! Would you believe I used the last of the oxygen to ozonate his shoes which were covered in mildew! In desperation I would turn to this. I vaguely remember people with fibromyalgia using Robitussin when they couldn't get Humabid. There is or soon will be a source for the guaifensin from a company that is in some way associated with Mark Konlee. I can't remember it's name, though. They market many of the products he experiments with. I some pile of papers I have this tucked away....... Sharon
Guest guest
LOL Sharon you ozonated his shoes... What a story about the lyme tick. Sometimes a month of doxy on its own does it, but I am sure with all the other stuff you threw at it, you got it. -- In oxyplus , " Sharon " <starshar@c...> wrote: > From: " jill1313 " <jenbooks13@h...> > > Hi Jill, > > What a wonderful article you wrote!
