Guest guest
Isn't there anything the school can do to help out. I find it hard to believe there is NO acting out at school. My daughter did most of hers at home too..As I said, I had to involve any social workers I could..Not really something I wanted to do, but noone else would listen. I will continue to pray for you and Ricky..dont' give up, keep looking for a new doctor..someone needs to listen adn so many thing we are just maaking things up..Even if you don't think any of the other doctors will help, at least try. You need to find one that will do a psychiatric evaluation...PAT > > I have thought about finding a different doctor. There doesn't seem to be much of a choice where we live, even though there are three major mental health agencies. None of them seem too good, and we are at the one people say is the best?? Not sure about that one. We see a DAN doctor 2 1/2 hours away from us. We have tossed around the idea of moving to be closer to her office. Not sure yet. I am thinking of looking in the Columbus/Dayton area, unless I can find someone not linked with one of the three mental health agencies that takes Medicaid. THat's the main problem, insurance. > > >
Guest guest
Since he isn't suppossedly having problems at school, there is nothing that the school can/will do for me at home. I also have a hard time believing he doesn't act out at school. He has had to step out of the room to talk to the teacher, principal, or counselor when he is feeling anxious or upset, but he gets himself calmed down, from what the school tell me. I guess they must consider a full meltdown only as acting out, and not getting anxious. His caseworker from his mental health agency and board of developmental disabilities I don't feel really get what I am trying to do with him. Especially since I am trying the Gluten Free Dairy Free diet. I get strange looks and comments like, " whatever works " . They also don't understand why I want him off meds. Just had that discussion this morning at a meeting with the in home staff.
Guest guest
You should send the tape with a letter explaining the content of the tape to everyone certified with signatures. That will make them watch because they can be accountable for taking no action. Good luckSent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: "W" <mlwpdb@...>Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 22:10:13 -0000<autism >Subject: Re: Please pray for Ricky I have video taped him, but no one wants to see it. Sad isn't it?
