Guest guest
Get A HANDLE on Neurodevelopmental Differences September 12-13 9 AM - 5 PM in ville 2 Day Introductory HANDLE Workshop at the Wingate by Wyndham HANDLE is a non-drug approach to addressing the root causes of various behavioral, learning, attention, and neurological differences that interfere with optimal functioning. For more information about HANDLE, please visit www.handle.org. The HANDLE program was validated in July 2006 in a study involving 5 adult brain-injured patients who showed improvements in function as well as changes in brain activity using SPECT scans. As a consultant for children with autism, I have been impressed by the HANDLE program in addressing sensory issues, motor challenges, language development, self-help skills, social awareness and competence, and attention span in children and adults with special needs. For information about the course or a registration form, please visit the Events page of my website to download the forms: www.pathwaysdlc.com Following the HANDLE 2-day course is a 2-day Reflex Integration workshop also taught by a HANDLE Practitioner. The reflex course may be of interest to parents or professionals who work with children with speech and or feeding disorders - one day of the course is devoted to facial reflexes, which can be a factor when speech is delayed. The second day is targeting birth reflexes, which can have implications for learning and attention. In the reflex course participants will learn how to test for reflexes as well as what to do about them. If you would like more information please call April at 904-273-6700 or email april @ pathwaysdlc.com. I hope to see you there!
