As long as you supply the ozone/oxygen gas mixture at a slow enough flow rate, it will diffuse through the ear drum. A normal flow rate would be 1/32 l/m. Some people are able to take 1/16 l/m. However, increasing the flow rate above that will pressurize the ear canal and cause discomfort, and maybe pain, so it is not recommended. Best of health! If you can smell ozone while doing ear insufflation, you do not have a good seal. Best of Health! I wanted to try drinking some water and a ear insufflation. He had a modified metal stethoscope, so I declined, but he had a bunch of tubing and fittings so we made one, so this means I was just holding the tubes just into my ears. I only did 5 minutes and this was about 5hrs. ago but I'm just wondering what your take on this is. He set the bottle at 1/4 the dial was at 5 and the gauge with the little ball was at 2. I mentioned how I thought 1/32 sounded like a good place to start, but he assured me 1/4 was what he did with his stethoscope. I feel fine, drank a glass of water too, though he poured it out of the breaker into a plastic cup to serve it too me, so instead of saying anything again I just drank it right away. Didn't taste as pleasant as I was hoping, was hoping for a " natural running spring " taste and it made my throat itchy for about 20 minutes. Comments? I was surprised to hear that other people couldn't do it for more than 30 SECONDS before getting oozing crusts in their ears. Now, after a while, I am getting the oozing after 15 minutes. That's a comfortable time period for me, but everyone is different. For ear insufflators: I bought an inexpensive stethoscope on eBay, removed the bottom piece (the " drum " used to listen to the heart), and then used a plastic connector to connect the bottom tube of the stethoscope to the tube leading from the ozone generator. It works great. I have my hands free while insufflating in BOTH ears at the same time, and my time is cut in half for doing both ears. Naturally I double the output setting.
