Robin,

Hi. I am glad your son adjusted well to the lexapro. We tried inositol

this summer. We got up to about 6 mg a day and didn't see any

difference. At the beginning we thought we saw a difference, but I

think it may have been for other reasons. So we went off of it and now

are switching meds. We don't want to do more than one change at a time.

Fortunately, day one was the worst day on zoloft. Yesterday was pretty

good; I saw signs of a happy kid and my kids didn't fight as much.

Today is not quite as good, but definitely manageable. Yeah. I am

hoping that this is a good sign.

We went directly from a high dose of lexapro to a higher dose of zoloft

and I am SOOOO glad. So far the transition is pretty easy (although my

anticipation was horrible) We had a terrible experience switching from

paxil to lexapro, partly because the doctor had us lower the paxil so

much before we even started lexapro. So she had no medicine in her

system as well as withdrawal. It was horrible for her AND our family.

In retrospect, I have no idea why the doctors don't do it the way we

are doing it now!!! Maybe we will try inositol again, but we will

wait. Have a good one. Ellen
