Guest guest
My skoby's seam to be doing great, growing fine. but my tea seems to be weaker than it was at first. My daughter visiting thought it seemed weak tasting. The only thing different I have done is started using the concentrated method. Only boiling part of the water, then adding the rest later. I still use the same amount of ingredients. Have been using 5 black tea bags to 3 qts water. I started out using 1 1/2 cups sugar to this amount, (what the recipe I got had said) then wondered if I should cut back to 1 cup sugar per 3 qts water. I have been reading here that many use aprox 1/3 c. per qt of water. Last time I increased the sugar by another 1/3 cup. Has anyone noticed any difference in using this concentrated method or using all the water at once? It seems it should come out the same.
