Hi

Thank you to all who replied to my post. I now have some reading/research to do

Some Thoughts on Ozone Generator Shopping

I've been researching ozone generators recently and will share some of

what I have found.

There are four manufacturers of ozone generators that use oxygen as a

feed gas that are readily available in the USA.

1. Plasmafire http://www.plasmafire.com/

2. Longevity Resources

http://www.ozonegenerator.com/Main/index.html or

http://www.life-ext.com/

3. Ozone Services http://www.o3zone.com/

4. Applied Ozone Systems

http://www.appliedozone.com/aos-1m_medical_ozone_generator.html

I eliminated #4 from consideration due to the design of the generator

(single dielectric) which exposes one electrode (stainless steel) to the

Ozone/oxygen stream. In this design only one electrode is enclosed in

glass, you want both electrodes to be glass enclosed (dual dielectric).

Secondly, the company is very incomplete in describing the generators.

Getting information from them was like pulling teeth, enough said.

That leaves the first three manufactures. All three are professional and

produce quality generators suitable for medical oxygen fed purposes (

disclaimer, I don't own nor have I seen any of these in person). There

are differences that are important and not fully resolved in my mind at

this point in time.

The issue of concentration and flow rate necessary to effectively

administer the ozone sauna protocol is foremost at issue with me as I

see the sauna protocol as the most important. Saul of Plasmafire has

stated to me that in his experience a flow rate of 1/2 LPM with a

concentration of 38 gamma (which his Alpha generator produces) is

necessary to effectively fill the sauna with a therapeutic level of

ozone. Den of Ozone Services states that 40-50 gamma @ 1/4 LPM is all

that is necessary to fill a steam sauna. Den sells three generators, two

of which ( Steam Trio, & OL80) will not meet Saul's generator output @

1/2LPM but the third generator Den sells is a dual tube type (OL100)

that will produce up to 63 gamma @1/2 LPM! Den can supply a generator

to meet both standards but recommends his cheaper lower flow rate models

for the sauna application. If you take Saul's protocol as the standard,

then only two generators meet it, the Plasmafire Alpha , and Ozone

Services OL100. The Alpha will produce only one concentration per flow

rate setting, while the OL100 can produce 20 different concentrations

for each flow rate setting. The OL100 can also can produce much higher

levels of ozone than the Alpha. This issue of multiple vs single

concentration has been discussed before at length on this list. As far

as the people behind the product, you simply cannot beat Saul, he is

simply the very very best there is!!! and his warrantee is forever! On

the other hand, Den from Ozone Services does not offer a " forever "

warrantee but produces a generator that is more versatile due to its

variable concentration settings. Yes you can get into some serious

trouble with the OL100 if you are not careful, you must watch those

settings!
