Guest guest
For nausea, try more frequent smaller meals, vanilla wafers, ginger (root, ale, snaps, tea). Are you taking B12? I take 2000 mcg/day. De Faith is the ability to not panic. -----Original Message-----From: Barbara [mailto:ibiteaol@...] Sent: Tuesday, September 14, 2004 7:38 PMHepatitis CSupportGroupForDummies Subject: hepc symptoms/"cures"Hi again, I'm just wondering what you all do when you are having all the nausea, BODY ACHES, swelling, etc...to make yourself feel better. Guest guest
Hi Connie, Thanks for the info. I drink SO MUCH water it's not even funny. When I was hospitalized, I wasn't peeing or anything and they had me on so much diuretic and I gained about 6 pounds a day. They LIMITED my fluid intake to 2 litres a day, and that included the 2 cups I needed (and still need) to take all the meds I'm on! I AM keeping my feet up but the minute I start doing anything, i swell up again......I'm still swollen now, but not so bad as last night. The fatigue and the aches are what really kills me. Just no energy whatsoever. I take potassium, calcium, magnesium, vit E, milk thistle, lactulose, lasix and spironolactone for liver stuff.......My levels are virtually normal right now but a month ago my ast, etc were in the 400+ range......So I don't know what's going on. thanks so much for the post though. You have no idea of how much that helped! Barb > Barb, im 3.5 months post tx and i still remember the pain. for the swelling, keep the feet up. for the horrendous pain in the bones, extra calcium and i know youve heard this a MILLION times, but push the water. push it hard. it will help. im sorry youre in pain, i wish i could take it off you. it sux. also focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, watch comedies, laughter releases endorphins, which relieve pain. it also pisses dragons off when you laugh. take care honey. connie
Guest guest
Thanks .....I'll keep your advice in mind. I'm apparently doing all the right things now, but nothing seems to help much. I'll hang in there though, not much of a choice, ya know? take care and thanks, barb > For nausea, try more frequent smaller meals, vanilla wafers, ginger (root, > ale, snaps, tea). > > Are you taking B12?
