Mostly they come from the same tanks but the industrial just doesn't need all

the paperwork and FDA BS therefore it is cheaper. Get you own filter if you

like and save a bundle.

Best wishes and much love, Ken

Question about oxygen quality for ozone

Dear Dr Pressman and Group,

What is the difference between industrial grade and medical grade oxygen. And

why is it ok to use idustrial oxygen for ozone that is going to be inhaled?

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Dear Rich,

There is no difference in the way that oxygen is produced, regardless of its

end user.

Air is liquefied with intense cold, and becomes a desne liquid. It is then

allowed to warm

up slowly. The first gas to come off at is oxygen. It is directed to a huge

tank, where

it is stored under pressure. In large plants, this tank will have two taps

coming off it.

One tap will lead to the front of the shop, and this is where medical oxygen

is bottled.

The second tap leads to the back and industrial bottles are filled from

that.

On the medical filling, an inline filter will be used, to ensure that there

is no particulate

matter. On the industrial tank filling, no filter is used.

We carry inline filters superior to those used for the medical tank filling,

so using industrial

oxygen is even better, using that.

Best of health!

What about shops that do not fill medical grade tanks? I have not been

able to find one locally here in atlanta that does both - they all send

them to someplace out of state for medical grade oxygen.

?? Was this filter included with the tank? If so, I didn't get one.

How much are they? Also, how important is it to use one? I have not

been using one when I get my tank filled from a local shop that only

fills industrial tanks. Is this damaging my tank? Or the ozone generator?

A separate question: where can I get a larger tank? Cost?

As always, thanks Saul

Dear Dr Pressman,

Does that mean that the ozone generator (I have the Beta model) has an inline

filter in it?

Thank you,

Rich

Dear ,

That doesn't matter. Their source of oxygen is that same big tank,

whether it is on their premises or elsewhere, because all tank oxygen

comes from liquifying air.

The inline filter is an option. They are $20 + mailing.

Your tank cannot be damaged. Your generator will not be damaged.

The only time that a filter is recommended is if you are doing IV using

tank oxygen, or using a concentrator for other purposes (you can't use

a concentrator for IV).

Your welding supply will sell you a bigger steel tank if you want. The

drawback of steel tanks is that they rust. I can get you a bigger

aluminum lined tank, which is 1750 liters. It is about waist high. They

are $300 plus shipping.

Best of health!

Dear Rich,

No. It is an optional accessory.
