Guest guest
I have my nephews living with me but not legal custody. The last I checked the only help I could get was IF I was willing to have the state attorney generals office go after them for support. Then they would move the kids out..I will check on other programs but I will not do anything to tempt my sister into moving the kids away. In the 5yrs since my youngest nephew was born, he lived 1 yr with his parents. There was no stability at all. There was abuse but the kids have blocked it out. I can not risk them being moved. Boo I didnt mean this toward you, I was just venting. love hugs and prayers dKathy brunow <kathy-boo@...> wrote: Connie I feel ya girl friend..Just got custody of Maurice's little sister and baby brother..Now Wisconsin has this thing here for children in crisis.. Guest guest
We had some wicked weather last night didn't lose power but I knew Danny would want to sleep with his Dad. Of course his dad didn't believe me but as soon as it turned 9:00 he was out asking. Of course we let him yes he is 11 and should't be doing that but the storms were really scary. He is so scared to go to Summer Camp he wants to pass his swimmers test and show all the other boy scouts that he can do something they didn't. He does have a compeitive edge to him although I really don't know where it comes from cause we hardly play games with him cause he usually throws a fit or throws the game board - working on that. We have been talking about grandmothers and how helpful or not helpful they are. My mom God Rest Her Sole was the most wonderful with my son. She would give me a break and stay at my house (he wouldn't leave our house for quite sometime) just so I could go grocery shopping without a screaming kid and I mean screaming. She was the best she didn't know how to raise her own kids very well but she was troubled back then and had depression. Got that fixed and she was much better. She loved my son I think more than she loved her own kids and as far as the other grandkids were considered Danny was her prince. The other grandchildren are rude and just disrespectful and the one who had the biggest excuse to be that was just wasnt' he tries never to be disrespectful opens doors for everybody lets girls go first and is the most well mannered grandchild she has. My nieces and nephews have no time for my son so we don't get together. My husband's sister's kids except him for who he is and invite him to do everything with them they are cool kids. Their parents are very strict - almost too strict but their kids are very well mannered. I guess that's enough said as I tend to write novels. But I say Amen to all the grandmothers out there who take care of our kids without saying a word. Bless you all Sharon
