Guest guest
Dear Oxy-list: Recently, I've asked several national pharmacies about their bio-identical transdermal hormone cremes and Dermabase comes up repeatedly. In looking at Dermabase, I find it contains three distinct wood alcohol products, carrageenan, and a product included in automotive anit-freeze. Of course, I won't use Dermabase. Any chance you know of Pharmaceutical Olive Oil; what they've done to it for this grading, added other products or high heat to sterilize it? Obie. Guest guest
Ken, I'm looking for a base in which to mix extracts of Tribulis, etc. in order to deliver hormones trough the skin, maybe even Shea Butter or something similar. Some of the pharmacies will use Pharmaceutical Olive Oil and I'm trying to learn if our list members have had experience with this particular product; know what's been added, if anything, or if it's been heated too high, etc., before I commit to its use. Guest guest
Have you considered some form of DMSO. Dr. s at the Univ of Oregon in Portland would probably be able to steer you in the right direction on this. Guest guest
Crystal Energy is a liquid that will carry topicals well into the skin. Search the net for the best price. It is also an emulsifier, so you can mix vit e and water and they stay mixed. It really makes topical stuff absorb. Also is great in water. Increases energy and helps you absorb your food or supplements better Donna http://www.excellentthings.com Re: Dermabase Ken, I'm looking for a base in which to mix extracts of Tribulis, etc. in order to deliver hormones trough the skin, maybe even Shea Butter or something similar. Guest guest
Oh, a good idea, Ken. Don't you think we should use the DMSO as an addition to a creme or base of some sort which contains the product we're trying to apply or would you think just combining it with the DMSO would be sufficient? Maybe we could find a way to combine them in a spray bottle, maybe. Thanks again, Obie. Guest guest
Try DMSO. There might be some people on this list that can tell you more about it. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Obie " <obie@...> > Ken, I'm looking for a base in which to mix extracts of Tribulis, etc. in > order to deliver hormones trough the skin, maybe even Shea Butter or > something similar.
