place the rebounder on 3 or more layers of different material (E.g., Rubber,

board, carpet) and virtually no sound will transmit to the apartment below.

Sound does not transfer well from one medium to another.

Best wishes and much love, Ken

I have a large studio apartment and a rebounder would be too much for this

not to mention the neighbors underneath. However, for immediate relief, I

followed

Gypsy Rose's suggestion--the blackout unfroze packages of ground turkey in my

freezer (which were wrapped in foil) -- I can't eat the stuff but discovered

that

they make terrific ice-packs. I tied 2 of them to my knees while sitting in

dark, and it really Helps! also the effect lasts and lasts-- dorothy

Hi Jim. It sounds to me like your issue is circulation. Gelatin is a joint

cushion rebuilder. If you need your joint fluid restored, then essential oils

would help. If you need cartilage restored then the gelatin will help. If you

need circulation, the a chi machine, and or a rebounder is the answer. Since

you are stiff after inactivity, then I suspect circulation is the answer for

you. They are not cheap, but the rebounder and the chi machine are remarkable

for this and many other issues.

I have been using them for several months now and I cannot tell you how I am

loving what is going on in my body. I recently feel like I have jumped up a

huge level in health and I know it is due to these units. It is the only thing

I have changed. In my opinion they are nothing short of amazing and almost

miraculous.

Re: Pain in Hips

I have been following this thread with great interest as I suffer

severe hip pain upon rising each morning and after extended or hour

plus breaks during the day. I just came from seeing a specialist in

this field and he was no help at all. The results of the visit were

for me to see a bone doctor if needed. Well why else was I there.

It seems no one can give any real relief for the pain with the

exception of a steroid shot in the affected area. STEROIDS YUKK!

TENS or Trancutaneous <bad spelling> electrical nerve stimulation

offers precious little relief also. Can you imagine placing

electrical pads on the buttocks and groin then sitting down and

getting up several times. Ouch is right. They bite like a bee sting

in such sensitive areas.

It seems to me, from following this thread, that I might get safe

and inexpensive relief from using the gelatin. What do you all

think?

Mild to moderate activity is the best thing I have right now. As

long as I don't stop for more than 5 or ten minutes I am OK.. It is

getting up in the morning or after an hour or more watching the boob

tube that hurts. I was just up town but forgot the gelatin. If it

doesn't help then I will look to the essential oils. Which would be

best, WD40 or CRC56:>) both are penetrating oils. Seriously though,

from what would I get essential oils.

I also get frequent pins and needles in the same right leg that

are not painful but do go all the way down to the foot. My

specialist says it is arthritis but doesn't recommend anything for

relief. I don't want to take non-prescribed stuff as it might react

badly with other meds or simply screw-up the blood pressure.

Re: Pain in Hips

Hi listers

What is a Chi machine?

Serita

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Serita. I don't know if anyone answered this or not. So I will just in

case. It is a little unit that sits on the floor. Has two ankle rests. You

lay down. Put your ankles in the rests. Turn on the timer and it moves your

ankles side to side, less than two inches, rather rapidly. More than twice a

second. The elevation of the ankles and the movement work together to move your

lymphatic system like gang busters. It also has an effect on the spine that

energizes the cerebral spinal fluid which sends healing energy to the whole

body. It also balances your right and left brain function and balances your

sympathetic and parasymphathetic nervous systems.

It lower blood pressure when high

Raises it when low

Increase oxygen to whole body with all the benefits that that implies. People

have reported healings of just about anything you can imagine. I am sure there

are some ho hum reports also, as there are with anything.

It builds bone.

Tones the body from the chest down.

Etc. (more at http://www.excellentthings.com including Dr. testimonies)

It is a way cool little unit. I did some comparison shopping about a month or

so ago, all of which was chronicled on this list. So you can search the

archives for " Chi Machine " and you should find some good info.

From the ones I have tried, I have found the Sun Ancon Chi machine to be the

best. I have not tried all the competitors, but I did try the top two, more

expensive copies of the Sun Ancon and they were so inferior as to not even be

able to compare them. So I felt that trying lesser models would not likely lead

to success. Very disappointing because I was looking for a fair priced unit and

didn't find one. So I bit the bullet and got the pricier Sun Ancon.

I have only had it a little over a week. (been borrowing a friends prior to

that) And I am pretty much over the trauma of paying full price. Chuckle. I

just love it so much it is hard to feel negative about it.

Blessings
