I have lent it to a friend and she is crediting it with all sorts of improvement in her chemical sensitivity issues. Guest guest
http://www.arrowheadhealthworks.com/FIRsoft.htm This is not the one I have but this lady Dr. was active on our list. http://www.promolife.com/products/sauna.htm I have the sitting up version pictured on the 2nd line in the middle. Do a google to find the best price. I bought mine from a Dr. on this list and could have saved $50 minimum from others. http://www.buyamag.com/portable_infrared_sauna.htm This is it but expensive $699. I paid around $459 Best wishes and much love, Ken Ken Gullan Institute for Research Integration (IRI) San Diego, CA 92106-2424 IRI is a 501C(3) non-profit corporation established to help children with developmental difficulties. Guest guest
Thx, I did some research. mercola.com shows how to build your own but i ain't that type of girl ;-) here's one for $400: http://www.ycyhealth.com/products/PortableSteamSauna/IHD_3111.shtml what do you think of that? jim, if you're reading this, what do you think of that contraption versus a lamp? a consideration is...my portable chamber---its taking up a lot of space in my livingroom. where would i put this FIR, in my bedroom? I have a hunch a lamp won't do the trick--I am herxing from my chamber and I should be adding in sauna to make heat, continue the immune response, etc. I would like to note that my chamber has me craving green juices. I'm not sure why. Perhaps to my body it is equivalent to exercise, the enhanced metabolism/oxygen? And I know pre-lyme when I exercisd I preferred green stuff to meat etc (kind of like a hard-wired biolgoical hibernating or exercising thing). I made a huge one, 3 glasses worth the other day. I guess I " ll make one tomorrow, I'm too lazy to do so tonight. > http://www.arrowheadhealthworks.com/FIRsoft.htm This is not the one I have but this lady Dr. was active on our list. > http://www.promolife.com/products/sauna.htm I have the sitting up version pictured on the 2nd line in the middle. Guest guest
Ken, How do you see FIR Saunas in relation to ozone? Steam Sauna + Ozone = Standard Setup FIR Sauna + Ozone = ???? Steam + FIR Sauna + Ozone = ???? FIR Sauna Alone = Standard Setup Thanks, Dennis Ken Gullan - IRI wrote: >You can get a FIR tent sauna for about $400. I have one and quite like it. Guest guest
Ken, I posted some questions on lymenet and I'm now thorougly confused. Byron has a healthmate which is about $3000 and uses a nonallergenic wood--apparently one good thing is it stays " hot " , i.e. doesn't go off and on? Gigi on lymenet who has a sauna says you must have one that you are entirely inside, i.e. expensive. But I found a tent type one for $400 like you said--I just don't know, everyboyd has a different opinion! > http://www.arrowheadhealthworks.com/FIRsoft.htm This is not the one I have but this lady Dr. was active on our list. > http://www.promolife.com/products/sauna.htm I have the sitting up version pictured on the 2nd line in the middle. Guest guest
Dennis. Damn, it gets to complicated! :-) The permutations and combinations of those options. Seriously though, I do think that nothing can be all things to all people. During the early days of using ozone + sauna (steam), I used the FIR on my off days to help detox the stuff the ozone killed and hopefully reduce the rashes and itching. I don't know if it helped as I had some pretty wild skin rashes, itching and oozing. I think I was doing so much detoxing that no-one could ever make any claim. I have never done just FIR so I cannot tell you how that feels but several people who have tried mine have liked how they feel with it. FIR sauna + ozone would have a distinct disadvantage of needing to sweat first before the ozone could enter the skin, therefore the steam + ozone wins on that score. Also, ozone would rapidly destroy all the FIR elements I have seen. So I just stick to steam + ozone for the moment until I am fully detoxed, then as I cut back on my almost one per day ozone sauna, I may start to play with other stuff again based on my desire to know rather than any particular ailment I may have. I really have virtually nothing left to clean up as far as symptoms are concerned - other than my bad language and very bad thoughts :-) - but I like them. I will never stop using my ozone sauna as I believe it has made the world of difference to my health and new toxins will always keep entering my body. I never did have any really bad problems that I was concerned about but some amazing things have just disappeared - things that I had just accepted as the inevitable part of the aging process. I no longer believe that to be true. speak to me when I reach 500 years old. :-) Sorry I cannot be more helpful. Guest guest
Thta's another question--ozone sauna instead of FIR. This is all stuff I have to mull over for a while. I was looking at prices to Vancouver because my good friend is there and I could go out there for a week and visit Saul and look at his contraption. What cleared up for you--just curious? I just got out of my chamber. I really don't know if I should be doing it everyday, but...I seem to be. > > >You can get a FIR tent sauna for about $400. I have one and quite like it. Guest guest
I re-read my post and cannot be clearer. I only have experience with the one I bought. I am glad everyone has " a different opinion " but each must adjust that opinion according to their situation. :-) Only you can decide. Guest guest
I did some research and spoke at length to a guy today who sells these two FIR units, for total of $300--they are in the far infrared range, and I can put them in my bathrooom and sit between them. He lieks it as much as his healthmate. This works for me because I can store them when not using them rather than having this star-trek tent thing! Although he said he is going to start making a tent for them. He has a list, cfs-fms first aid or something like that, I joined it, its very interesting. I also asked Byron and noodly on lyement what they thought of this device and they thought it looked good. Just FYI. My chamber is helping me. I am so grateful for my chamber. Only one week and I see genuine progress. > > http://www.arrowheadhealthworks.com/FIRsoft.htm This is not the > one I have but this lady Dr. was active on our list. > > http://www.promolife.com/products/sauna.htm I have the sitting up > version pictured on the 2nd line in the middle.
