Guest guest
saw her ortho on Tuesday. He has decided not to do the 3d CAT scan in Nov. The xrays taken on Tues showed him what he was looking for right now. Basically, she has the cervical kyphosis, an "excellent" (dr speak for "cool, we can study her! lol" case of Klippel Feil syndrome and something that he suspected, but hadn't been able to clearly see before, some Spina Bifida at the base of her neck where it meets the shoulder area. (Color me shocked) So, we will see him in Jan and go from there. Her VEPTRs look good. She is growing well, her shoulders are even, she has decent rotation in her neck and she is a very active girl. We are watching one area - it is where the shorter of the two rods is attached at the bottom. That area is covered by a very thin section of skin, it always looks like the rod is going to break through, but it hasn't. I do check it frequently though. We are off to Florida to visit Harry Potter today, so we will see all of you when we get back and I will post her latest xrays. Hugs to all, Gail
